Wwoofing in the Tablelands

The last two weeks I've been wwoofing in Ravenshoe. For those who don't know what wwoofing is, you basically work 4-6 hours a day for accommodation and food. This obviously doesn't make you rich, but it saves some money from being spent, and you get to visit less travelled areas of the country, and a nice experience in return... In this case, I was staying with John and Melody, on their property in Ravenshoe, in the Tablelands near Atherton (about two hours inland from Cairns). I helped them doing some gardening and construction work (on the house they're building). My hosts were very welcoming (they're cookin was great too) and the surroundings were very beautiful. There were also some wallabies around, who are almost part of the family. Later today, John and Melody are giving me a lift up to Cooktown (they're going all the way to Cape York). Oh, and anyone looking for a wwoof place, it's a definite recommendation...
